Converting the Locator for the Platform Structure Visualization
In Windchill, to configure and visualize platform structures using dynamic positioning, Windchill uses a coordinate system (CSYS) that is defined in CAD data. The CSYS is referred to as the locator in Windchill. For more information, see Dynamic Positioning with Options and Variants in the Windchill help center.
In NX, you must assign an attribute to CSYS to identify it as the locator. The same attribute should be assigned for all locators. To assign a new attribute to CSYS in NX, complete these steps:
1. right click the CSYS and then click Properties. The Coordinate System Properties dialog box opens.
2. In the Attribute tab, under Context, make sure that the value of Apply to is set to Feature.
3. Under Feature Attributes add a new attribute of the type Boolean, Integer, or String.
4. Click OK to close the dialog box.
In the Creo View Adapter for NX, update the recipe option from ug2pv.rcp that is at Parameters – Miscellaneous > Locator Filter to refer to the parameter name and value which are assigned to the locator CSYS. While publishing the representation, the Creo View adapter converts the locator information for these CSYS.
If the recipe option Datum Csys is cleared and if the Locator Filter recipe options are set, the Creo View adapter still converts the locator information of CSYS.
If the module variant assembly has locators created in the skeleton parts, the Creo View adapter converts the locators present in the immediate children skeleton parts.
