Supported SolidWorks File Types and Entities
These file types are supported by the Creo View Adapter for SolidWorks:

The default output of SolidWorks *.slddrw drawings, is PDF files.
The adapter also supports entities from SolidWorks:
• Solid
• Quilt
• Density attribute
• SWX configuration
• Parameter
• Virtual components

• You cannot automatically publish SolidWorks CAD Attributes as Creo View Structure Properties using the Creo View Adapter for SolidWorks. However, for server controlled publishing, you can use the Workgroup Manager to map SolidWorks CAD Attributes to Windchill IBAs. The IBAs are added to the Creo View structure published to Windchill. • In Creo View, the virtual components are represented like the other components. These components do not have the attribute Source_file_name, but they do have the attribute Source_embedded_component with its value equal to 1.
