To Edit and Delete Symbols from the Symbol Library
To Edit Symbols
To edit a symbol in the Symbol Library, perform the following steps:
1. Open the Model-Symbols options pane in the Creo Illustrate Options dialog box in one of the following ways:
From the Ribbon:
a. In the Home tab, in the Insert group, click Symbols. The symbol gallery opens.
b. In the gallery, click Open Symbol Library. The Symbol Library dialog box opens.
c. Click Manage. The Creo Illustrate Options dialog box opens showing Model-Symbols options on the right.
From the Creo Illustrate Options dialog box:
a. Click File > Options. The Creo Illustrate Options dialog box opens.
b. In the Showing box, select Illustration.
c. On the left, under Model, select Symbols. The Model-Symbols options open on the right.
2. Click a symbol to edit, and then click Edit. The Symbol:Edit dialog box opens showing the selected settings and preview image for the symbol.

When the gallery is locked you cannot add, edit or delete any symbols in the gallery. These are the indications that the gallery is locked:
A lock symbol appears besides the Edit button
in the Creo Illustrate Options dialog box.
The Add, Edit, and Delete buttons appear dimmed in the Creo Illustrate Options dialog box.
To Delete Symbols
To delete a symbol from the Symbol Library, perform the following steps:
1. In the symbol gallery, click the symbol to delete.
2. Click Delete. The symbol is removed from the Symbol Library.
