To Create a New Figure
The steps for creating any new figure are very similar to each other with just a few subtle differences.
To Create a 3D Figure
1. In the Figure ribbon, click New Figure. The New Figure dialog box opens with the available view states, 2D views and schematic sheets listed on the left and a preview available on the right.
2. Under the 3D section select one or more view states.
*
You can only select one view state per assembly. When selecting multiple view states the camera view is taken from the first selected view state, indicated with an icon.
3. Click Create to create the figure and keep the dialog box open.
Click Create and Close to create the new figure and close the dialog box.
4. To close the dialog box without creating a new figure, click Close.
To Create a 2D Figure
1. In the Figure ribbon click New Figure. The New Figure dialog box opens with the available view states, 2D views and schematic sheets listed on the left and a preview available on the right.
2. Under the 2D section select a view and then click Create to create the figure and keep the dialog box open. Click Create and Close to create the new figure and close the dialog box.
3. To edit the setting for 2D figures, click 2D Figure Settings. For more information, see To Customize Settings for a 2D Figure.
To Create a Schematic Figure
1. In the Figure ribbon click New Figure. The New Figure dialog box opens with the available view states, 2D views and schematic sheets listed on the left and a preview available on the right.

*
The list of Schematic sheets in the tree display can be filtered by clicking on Filter in the Schematic section. For more information, see To Filter Schematic Sheets.
