About Render Mode
Render mode determines the appearance of the figure:

Shaded
F9
Displays the part as a shaded solid.
Flat Shaded with Edges
F10
Displays the part as a shaded solid with the lines of forward surfaces emphasized.
Cel Illustration
SHIFT+F10
Displays the image with a cartoon-like appearance.
HLR (Hidden Line Removal)
F11
Displays only the frame lines of the forward surfaces.
Colored HLR
SHIFT+F11
Displays parts with only the frame lines of the forward surfaces using the part color for the line color.
Shaded Illustration
F12
Displays parts as a shaded solid with custom lighting and the lines of forward surfaces emphasized.
White Shaded Illustration
SHIFT+F12
Displays parts as a shaded solid with a whitened look and the lines of forward surfaces emphasized.
Thick/Thin
CTRL+SHIFT+T
Displays the outer edges of the image thicker, and the inner edges thinner.
