About Annotations
An annotation is a callout, note, inset or explode lines with leader line created in Creo Illustrate. View and insert annotations in any figure or sequence step in an illustration file. Use annotations to graphically identify and locate items in figures. Annotations can also add design, manufacturing, and service information. Annotations appear in the figure window and in the figure content list, in the View Content pane of the upper data panel.
The annotations you insert in a figure are saved with that figure in the illustration C3DI file.
Model Annotations are imported to Creo Illustrate with the figure.
Annotations and symbols are automatically defined as hotspots in Creo Illustrate. You can optionally map the locations of hotspots when you publish an illustration to a raster format, or when you perform the following operations on a figure:
