Using the Help Center
Opening the Help Locally
The online version of the Help Center is launched by default. To open the local Help Center instead, complete the following steps:
1. Click File > Options. The Creo Illustrate Options dialog box opens.
2. Next to Showing, select Global. The General-Main page opens.
3. Select Use Local Help check box.
4. Click Apply to apply the options, or click OK to apply the options and close the dialog box.
Context-Sensitive Help
Help for Creo Illustrate is context-sensitive. To access context-sensitive Help, use one of these methods, depending on the UI item:
Dialog box—In the title bar of the dialog box, click .
Icon, ribbon tab or group, panel, status bar, graphics area—Place your pointer on the UI item, and then press F1.
The relevant Help topic opens in a new tabbed page of your default browser. You can also click in the application window to open the home page of the Help.
Searching the Help
The following search rules apply when you search the Help:
Boolean—All search words and phrases have an implicit AND.
Wildcard Search—All search words have an implicit wildcard. For example, if you search for locali, your search results will include any string that starts with locali, such as localization and localized.
Word Search—For example, a search for inset gallery finds all Help topics containing both inset and gallery. The terms do not have to be next to each other.
Phrase Search—To find an exact phrase, enclose the phrase in quotations. For example, search for “page setup” to find all Help topics containing the exact phrase page setup.
