About Locking Option Settings
The Creo Illustrate administrator can lock option settings and commands as follows:
• Any individual option or the entire option page can be locked. When an option setting is locked, a lock icon appears alongside the setting on the page.
• Any command can be locked. A tooltip indicating that the command has been disabled appears when you hover the pointer over a disabled command.
• Annotation galleries such as the symbols library and the inset gallery can be locked. When a gallery is locked, a lock icon appears alongside the setting on the Options page and the commands appear dimmed.
• If you have set the environment variable ILLUSTRATE_DISPLAY_COMMANDS=1, the Tooltips also show the command ID.

You cannot disable interface elements such as tabs and groups, but you can disable an individual command, such as Print.
