To Apply a Texture to a Part
Applying a texture to a part
1. Select a part in the figure.

Alternatively, select the part in the figure after selecting the texture.
2. Click Home > Textures > Add Texture. The Texture Library dialog box opens.

If the texture library has not been populated the Select Texture dialog box will open to select an image file to use for the texture.
3. Select a texture and click Insert. The Add Texture dialog box opens.
4. Click a point on the face of the part to apply the texture. The texture is shown on the part centered on the selected point.
5. Select Repeat, Mirror or Wrap to set how the texture is applied to the part.
6. Select a mapping shape that best suits the part shape from the list, to edit the mapping shape orientation click on the Edit button which opens the Mapping Shape dialog. For more information, see Editing a Mapping Shape

Wrap is not available when the Plane mapping shape is selected.
7. Position and scale the texture using either the in-view dragger or the controls in the dialog.
8. Click OK. The texture is applied to the part.
Editing a texture
Textures applied at the sBOM level can be edited, hidden and deleted.
1. You can edit the texture from the Part Properties, the Edit Properties dialog or the Home ribbon.
Editing a texture from the Part Properties dialog:
1. In the figure window, right-click and choose Edit Properties. The Part Properties dialog box opens on the Appearance tab.
2. Select a texture on the selected part and then click Edit. The Edit Texture dialog box opens.
Editing a texture from the Edit Properties dialog:
1. Click Edit Properties in the Edit group of the sBOM ribbon. The Part Properties dialog opens.
2. Select the Appearance tab on the left side.
3. Select a texture in the list of textures on the part and click on the Edit button. The Edit Texture dialog opens
Editing a texture from the Home ribbon.
Click Home > Textures > Edit Texture. The Edit Texture dialog opens.
2. Use the texture button to replace the texture used with another texture.
3. Edit the transparency setting, scale, position, orientation, mapping shape as required.
4. Click OK. The changes are applied to the texture.
Hiding a texture
1. Select a part with a texture.
2. Click Edit Properties in the edit group of the sBOM ribbon. The Part Properties dialog opens.
3. Select the Appearance tab on the left.
4. Right click on a texture in the textures section and select Hide. The texture is hidden.
Deleting a texture
1. Select a part with a texture.
2. Click Edit Properties in the Edit group of the sBOM ribbon. The Part Properties dialog box opens.
3. Select the Appearance tab on the left.
4. Select a texture in the textures section and click the Delete button. The texture is deleted.
