To Save a 3D Figure to PDF
In Creo Illustrate, you can save or publish a 3D figure to PDF. When you save a 3D figure to PDF format, you have the option to define the page layout or use a formatted template. Define the page layout using the settings in the dialog box. Use the Advanced Settings dialog box to set the view and resolution of the figure, or to add animations or annotations to the PDF.
You can apply a formatted template for the PDF, or use the sample PDF template that is provided with Creo Illustrate. For more information on using formatted templates, see Formatting PDF Templates in the Creo Illustrate Installation and Configuration Guide.

A sample PDF template is provided with Creo Illustrate and can be found in the following directory: %AppData%\ptc\illustrate.
To Save a 3D Figure to PDF
1. Click File > Save Figure As > Save As 3D File. The Save Figure As 3D dialog box opens.
2. In the Type box, select PDF.
3. In the File name box, type a name or accept the default.
4. Click Save. The Settings dialog box for the file format opens.
5. To use a template for the PDF layout, next to Template, click .... The Select PDF template dialog box opens.
6. Select a template from the list, or use the sample PDF template provided with Creo Illustrate.
7. Define the page layout settings and then click OK. The settings are applied.
8. For advanced settings, click Advanced. The Advanced Settings dialog box opens.
9. Select any of the following options to be included in the PDF:
Animation
PMI
Annotations
10. Select a view for the PDF file:
Current View — to export the current view
Zoom all — to export all content in the view
11. Click OK. The file is published to PDF.
