To Create and Edit Rectangles
Before creating a rectangle, keep the following in mind:
Rectangles are drawn with a thick and thin line. The thick line always appears to the right of the diagonal creation line.
To reverse the thick and thin lines, double click on the element or use the Switch Pens tool.
When you apply a pen to the rectangle, it is applied to the entire rectangle (there will no longer be both thick and thin lines).
Rectangles are always created aligned to a grid plane (XZ, XY, YZ).
To Create a Rectangle
1. Click Rectangle. The rectangle tool is selected.
2. Define the two corners of the rectangle that are furthest apart across the diagonal by performing one of the following:
Click, hold, and drag to create the two points.
Click once for the first point and then again for the second point.
The rectangle is rendered.
To Edit a Rectangle
Rectangles have 5 control points: one at each corner and one in the center. Use these control points to edit the rectangle.
There are three ways to edit a rectangle:
Select an edge or center point to move it.
Select a single corner to stretch it in two directions.
Select two corners of a single edge to stretch it in one direction.
