To Create and Edit Ellipses
Before creating an ellipse, keep the following in mind:
Ellipses are drawn with a thick and thin line. The thick line always appears to the right of the creation line.
To reverse the thick and thin lines, double click on the element or use the Switch Pens tool.
When you apply a pen to the rectangle, it is applied to the entire rectangle (there will no longer be both thick and thin lines).
To Create an Ellipse
1. Click Ellipse. The Ellipse tool is selected.
2. Set the ellipse angle:
Free angle — holding the CTRL key, define the major axis, and then the ellipse angle.
Preset angle — in the Ellipse tool, select an angle from the list.
Custom angle — click Ellipse > Custom. The Custom Ellipse dialog box opens. Type the ellipse angle, then click OK.
3. Define the major axis of the ellipse in one of the following ways:
Click to drag the length and angle of the axis.
Click to start the axis, and then click a second time to end the axis.
Once the major axis is defined, the ellipse is rendered at the present angle.
