About Loading Creo Unite Technology Assemblies
A Creo Unite assembly is a 3D CAD assembly that contains both Creo Parametric file types and other CAD file types. Creo Unite Technology files are created in Creo Parametric.
You can import Creo Unite Technology files like Creo Parametric *.prt and *.asm files into Creo Illustrate.
The following 3D CAD file types are supported:
• SolidWorks—*.sldasm,*.sldprt
• CATIA V5—*.cgr,*.CATPart,*.CATProduct
• NX—*.prt
• Inventor—*.iam, *.ipt
• Creo/Elements Direct Modeling—*.sdac, *.sdpc
In the assembly directory on the local disk, the wrapper file name has the form filename.extension.creo and functions like any other file. In Windchill the wrapper is named filename.creo and is stored as secondary content alongside the original.
