About Figures
A Creo Illustrate illustration C3DI file, can contain one or more figures. All figures in a C3DI file use the same MCAD, or Schematic, data. However, a C3DI file can contain one or more of the following CAD figures:

Use a figure to display an sBOM with the appearance and settings of your choice.
Figures saved in the file are listed in the Figures tab and displayed in the following views:

Gallery ViewYou can display 3D figures in 
Figure View. This is the end consumers’s initial view of the published figure. This is also the view you publish to 2D or raster formats. If no figure view is set, the current or last saved view is used.

To Create a New Figure
1. Click Figure > 
New Figure. The New Figure dialog box opens with available 2D and 3D view states, sheets, or both.

◦ For 3D figures—Select a view and then click Create to create the figure and keep the dialog box open. Alternatively, click Create and Close to create the figure and close the dialog box.
◦ For 2D figures—Select a view and then click Create to create the figure and keep the dialog box open. Alternatively, click Create and Close to create the figure and close the dialog box. To edit the settings, click 2D Figure Settings. For more information, see To Customize the Settings for 2D Figures.
◦ For Schematic figures—Select a sheet and then click Create. Click Filter to filter the list of Schematic sheets in the tree display. For more information, see To Filter Schematic Sheets.

3. To close the dialog box without creating a new figure, click Close.
To Duplicate or Rename a Figure
You can duplicate or rename a figure in the following ways:
• To create a copy of a figure, click > 
Duplicate.

Rename. In the New Figure Name dialog box, type a new name for the figure.
