To Preview a Sequence
1. Select the figure that contains the sequence you want to preview. The sequence opens in the primary panel in the Step Editor pane.

If a figure contains a sequence, it is indicated with a sequence icon. If a figure contains an animation, it is indicated with an animation icon.

Playback pauses if the Acknowledge dialog box opens during playback. You must click a button in the dialog box, such as Continue, before the next step will play.
2. To play or pause the currently selected step, do the following:
a. In the primary panel, in the Step Editor pane, click a step thumbnail image to select it.
b. In the Animation tab, click Playback Controls. The playback controls are displayed in the figure window.
c. Click Play to preview the step from start to end. Use the Pause button to pause the recording.
3. To play any step in the sequence, do the following:
a. In the Animation tab, click Preview Sequence. Creo Illustrate enters sequence preview mode.
b. In the Preview Sequence tab, in the Play group, click the buttons below to control sequence playback.
Play—Play the next step from start to end.
Pause—Stop playing the sequence mid-step.
Rewind to Start—Go to the start of the first step in the sequence.
Last Step—Go to the end of the last step in the sequence.
Previous Step—Go to the end of the previous step in the sequence.
Next Step—Go to the end of the next step in the sequence.
(Optional) Click Playback Controls to show playback controls in the lower left corner of the figure window. This enables you to control sequence playback when only the figure window is visible.
4. To play or replay multiple steps—including all steps in the sequence—do the following:
a. In the Preview Sequence tab, click the Play group label to open the Play menu.
b. In the Play menu, click Play All or Replay to perform the corresponding action below:
▪ Play All—Plays the sequence from the start of the current step to the end of the last step. To play the entire sequence, click Rewind to Start and then click Play All.
▪ Replay—Plays the sequence from the start of the first step to the end of the current step. To replay the entire sequence, play the last step or click Last Step, and then click Replay.
5. Click Cancel to exit sequence preview mode and continue editing the sequence.
