Map eBOM to sBOM
Immediately after you import the CAD file, Creo Illustrate enters the sBOM structure editing mode so you can map the CAD eBOM structure to the illustration sBOM structure. The eBOM tree appears in the upper data panel. The empty sBOM tree appears in the primary panel on the left.
• Drag eBOM tree nodes (parts and assemblies) on the right to sBOM tree nodes (items) on the left. To map the entire eBOM to the sBOM, drag the eBOM tree root node to the sBOM root node.
• To change the sBOM structure, drag item nodes to new positions in the sBOM tree.
• When you are done mapping and editing the sBOM, click Close Edit on the Home tab to exit structure editing mode.
• If you want to add more parts from the eBOM to the sBOM later, you can reenter structure editing mode.
