To Search Using the Find Tool
1. Click > . The Find dialog box opens.
2. In the Find box, type the text you want to search for.
3. Select one or more BOMs to search.
For Structure Edit mode:
◦ sBOM
◦ eBOM
For Cross-select mode:
◦ 3D
◦ Schematic
4. Select one of the following definitions for the parts to find:
◦ Part name only
◦ Part name and attribute value
5. To return only exact matches, select the Match whole word only check box.
6. To make the find case-sensitive, select the Match case check box.
7. Select whether to find all instances of a name or to scroll through the matches one by one:
◦ To find each instance of a part name or attribute value, click Find Next or Find Previous.
◦ To find all instances of a specific part name or attribute value at one time, click Find All.
Matching parts are selected in the sBOM tree and in the active figure. They also appear in the
Attributes pane in the lower data panel.
