To Configure Tooltips
1. Click File > Options. The Creo Illustrate Options dialog box opens.
2. Next to Showing, select Illustration.
3. Customize tooltips for a 3D figure or a Schematic override:
3D figures — On the left, under Model, click Tooltips. The Model-Tooltips options open.
Schematic connections — On the left, under Schematics, click Tooltips. The Schematics-Tooltips options open.
4. Set one or more of the following options:
For 3D figures, set the following:
Show part tooltips—Displays the tooltips for parts
Use default tooltip (part name)—Displays the default tooltip for the part name. If a custom tooltip is defined in the Tooltip editor, this text is shown in the tooltip.
For Schematic connections, set the following:
Use default tooltip (Item type: Full name)—Displays the default tooltip which is the figure part name. If a custom tooltip is defined in the Tooltip editor, this text is shown in the tooltip.
5. In the Tooltip editor, type additional information for the tooltip. To include attribute names and values in tooltips, see To Insert an Attribute Name, Value, or Both.
6. In the Creo Illustrate Options dialog box, click OK.
