To Record a Trail File
1. Click > . The Record Trail File dialog box opens.
2. Type the trail file name in the Filename box. By default, the file is placed in the current working directory. To place the file in a different location, click File Selector and browse to the new location.

3. Type a string in the Macro name box to add a header to the top of the trail file.
4. Type a numeric value in the Decimal places box to control probe points accuracy.
5. To record trail file elapsed time, click Log elapsed time.
6. Click OK. Recording of your actions to the trail file begins.
7. Click > to stop recording and save the trail file.
