About Opening a Design With a Central Catalog
When you open a design, a separate processor is used to cache the central catalog. You can open design sheets, move items, and so on, but remember that not all items are in the catalog until it finishes caching. The process can take a few seconds for a small central catalog or a few minutes for a large central catalog.
The following icons in the bottom right corner of the main window show central catalog status:
• —The Central Catalog is caching
• —The Central Catalog finished caching, but there are unresolved errors between the local and central catalogs.
• —The Central Catalog finished caching without errors.
To verify the catalog automatically when you open a design, click the Allow automatic catalog verification option in the Creo Schematics Options dialog box.
