About Importing Files to the Current Sheet
DXF, DWG, MEDUSA, and CGM file formats can be imported to the current sheet.
The following options apply to all import formats:
Line thickness is mapped from the original format to standard line thickness.
Colors RGB values are imported as defined in the original format.
Tables are imported as dumb graphics.
Original line fonts are mapped to the line fonts via standard Creo Parametric fonts. The fonts are continuous, dot, center, phantom, and dashed. When no mapping is defined for a specific line font the default is solid thin.
Original layer names are translated to layer names.
Original text fonts are converted to the default font.
Original True Type fonts are preserved.
Units are imported as inches or millimeters. Feet are converted to inches and centimeters to millimeters.
Filled polygons are imported as hatched polygones with constant hatching patter.
Hatched polygons are imported with constant hatching pattern.
When you import to an open sheet only a single sheet (the first) is inserted into the current design sheet.
*
When you import a MEDUSA file, the line thickness and color is not maintained.
