About Exporting Designs to EDA Files
EDA files are internal intelligent graphic files for viewing in Creo View ECAD. When you open these files in Creo View ECAD you can:
Select components, connections, and ports.
Display properties for selected items.
View connections between components.
Add notes to the design.
Save the design as a PVZ or PVS file.
Save the current view as an image file.
When you save a copy of your design as an EDA file, you can choose which sheets you want to include in the saved design.
When you check a Creo Schematics 3.0 design into Windchill, an EDA file of the design is generated by default.

When a thumbnail does not display in Windchill, you may be using a version of the plug-in prior to Creo View ECAD 3.0. Try generating HPGL files on check in to resolve the problem.
