About Backing Up Designs
A backup file of a design is created automatically when you close a design or open one without a backup file. The backup file is a copy of the design, including the database. When a problem occurs and the software fails to open a design database, the path to the automatic design backup becomes available.
Creating a backup file slightly increases the size of the design and can increase the time it takes to open and close the design. Clear the Automatic design backup check box to disable automatic backups.
