To Set the Welding Standard
Use the weld_ui_standard configuration option to define the welding standard for new models.
1. Click File > Options. The Creo Parametric Options dialog box opens.
2. Click Configuration Editor. The last loaded or imported set of configuration options are shown.
3. Click the arrow next to Show and select an option:
File paths of currently loaded configuration files—Displays configuration options in each file with their current values.
Only changed—Displays the changed but unsaved configuration options.
Current Session—Displays all configuration options from the currently loaded configuration files and the options that you modified or added.
All Options—Displays all available configuration options.
4. In the list, select weld_ui_standard, or type weld_ui_standard in the Creo Parametric Options box.
5. In the Value box, select ansi or iso.
6. Click OK.
Use the Weld Standard dialog box to view or change the standard used for the currently displayed model.
1. Click Applications > Welding. The Welding tab opens.
2. Click Setup > Weld Standards. The Weld Standard dialog box opens.
3. Click Change to ISO or Change to ANSI.
4. If the Weld Standard Parameters dialog box opens, under New value, select values that can be converted to the new standard, and then click Continue.
The standard changes only for the current session unless you save the model, which saves the new standard along with the model.
Use the Weld Preferences dialog box to set the preferences for each weld type in each standard for the current session.
1. Click Applications > Welding. The Welding tab opens.
2. Click Preferences. The Weld Preferences dialog box opens.
3. In the box next to Weld preference for standard, select the weld standard.
4. Set preferences for each weld type.
