To Change the Color of a Weld
There is a default color for all welds, but you can set the color for all welding features using the configuration option weld_color. All welds created after you set this configuration option will conform to the color you defined.
You can set colors for individual or multiple welds in the Weld Preferences, Color, and Appearances Manager dialog boxes.
Use the Weld Preferences dialog box to set the weld color in the current session for welds created after you set the preference:
1. Click Applications > Welding. The Welding tab opens.
2. Click Preferences. The Weld Preferences dialog box opens.
3. Select Fillet, Groove or Butt, Plug or Slot, or Spot from the list.
4. Click the Appearance tab.
5. Select a previously defined color from the Appearance list.

* You can also change the weld texture by following this procedure and selecting a previously defined texture.
Use the Color dialog box to change the color of existing welds:
1. Select one or more welds in the Model Tree or graphics window, and then right-click and choose Edit Colors from the shortcut menu. The Color dialog box opens.
2. Click a User-defined color, and then click Modify, or click New. The Color Editor dialog box opens.
3. Create or modify the color, and click Close in the Color Editor dialog box.
4. Click OK in the Color dialog box. The selected welds change color.
Use the Appearances Manager dialog box to change the color of existing welds:
1. Click View > Appearance Gallery, and then select an appearance to apply. The Select window opens.
2. Select one or more welds in the Model Tree or graphics window.
3. Click OK in the Select window.
The new color is visible in other applications, such as the Standard application.
