Joining Profile Ends to Other Profiles
This task describes how to join one profile end so it is attached to the bounding box of a second, unchanged profile.
1. Click
Framework >
Basic Joints. The
Basic Joints dialog box opens.
2. Under
Joint Actions, click
to define a new joint.
3. Under
Join one Profile End to Profile area click
to define a new T-joint.
4. Referring to callout 1 in the next picture, on the model select the adjoining profile end near the highlighted position.
5. Referring to callout 2 in the next picture, on the model select the unchanged profile end near the highlighted position.
6. You can see that the reused instance of the I-profile also is changed as it is the same model. Click Repeat or press middle-click and continue with the next T-joint.
7. Referring to callout 1 in the next picture, on the model select the adjoining profile end near the highlighted position.
8. Referring to callout 2 in the next picture, on the model select the unchanged profile end near the highlighted position.
9. Click Repeat or middle–click to complete joint creation and continue with next the T-joint.
10. Referring to callout 1 in the next picture, on the model select the adjoining profile end near the highlighted position.
11. Referring to callout 2 in the next picture, on the model select the unchanged profile end near the highlighted position.
12. You can see that the other instances of the pattern also have changed as they are the same model. Click Repeat or press middle–click to complete joint creation and continue with next T-joint.
13. Referring to callout 1 in the next picture, on the model select the adjoining profile end near the highlighted position.
14. Referring to callout 2 in the next picture, on the model select the unchanged profile end near the highlighted position.
15. Click OK to close the dialog box.
