To Assign Fatigue Properties to Materials
3. Select the Structural tab.
4. Verify that Isotropic is selected for the material type. You can use only isotropic materials for a fatigue analysis.
5. Select
Unified Material Law (UML) from the
Fatigue drop-down list .
6. Enter a value for Tensile Ultimate Stress in the Material Limits area of the Material Definition dialog box.
7. If you want to
change the units for
Tensile Ultimate Stress, select the units from the adjacent list.
8. Select a Material Type.
9. Select a Surface Finish.
10. Enter a value for Fatigue Strength Reduction Factor.
