Managing Loads in Process Guide
Use the Loads Manager dialog box to create loads through the Process Guide dialog box. You invoke this dialog box only through a Process Guide session. The Loads Manager dialog box is available only if the type of load is not specified while defining the Load in the process template.
Using the Loads Manager dialog box, you can create one or more loads for your model and store the data in the current Process Guide session.
This dialog box includes the following items:
Current Load Set—Displays the existing load sets in the model. (A load set is simply a collection of loads.) Click the arrow to display a drop-down list of load sets already associated with your model.
When you click New, the Load Set Definition dialog box appears. It enables you to create a new load set by specifying a name and a description.
Loads in Current Set—Displays all the loads that form the load set you selected for the Current Load Set option. You can add new loads or modify existing loads in the current load set.
To add new loads to the existing load set, use the following buttons:
Create a Force/Moment Load
Create a Pressure Load
Create a Bearing Load
Create a Gravity Load
Create a Centrifugal Load
Create a Preload Load
Create a Structural Temperature Load
Create a Mec/T Temperature Load
After you create a load, you can select it from the available list of loads and click the button to edit it, or delete it using the button. The selected load is removed from the Current Load Set.
