To Use a Sketch to Create a Punch
1. Click Model > Form > Sketched Form. The Sketched Form tab opens.
2. Click .
3. Select a sketch or click Placement > Define to create a sketch.
4. In the box, type a value for the depth of the punch, or accept the default value.
5. To flip the punching direction, click .
6. To flip the material thickness direction, click .
7. Click Options. The Options tab opens. Perform one or more of the following operations:
To specify surfaces to exclude from the punch, click the Exclude Surfaces collector and select one or more surfaces.
To cap the ends of the punch, click the Capped ends check box.
To taper the sides of the punch, click the Add taper check box and set the value of the taper.
To round sharp edges of the punch, click the Nonplacement edges and the Placement edges check boxes and set the value of the radius.
8. Click .
