About Standard Flange Wall Shapes
There are two types of standard flange wall shapes as shown below:
Hem—Open, Flushed, Joggle, Duck, C, and Z
Other standard shapes—I, Arc, and S
Open
Flushed
Joggle
Duck
C
Z
Hem shapes
I
Arc
S
Other standard shapes
Keep in mind the following when using a standard flange wall shape:
You cannot change the material thickness direction for an Open, Flushed, Joggle, Duck, C, or Z flange.
The bend radius value and material thickness direction are only applied to a shape that is not tangent to the attachment wall.
You can apply rip relief only to a flange with a flush shape.
Stretch relief is not available for a duck-shaped flange.
