To Move a Pipe Segment
1. Select a pipe segment.
 
* The segment cannot begin or end with a port or a fitting.
2. Click Pipe Segment. The Pipe Move Segment tab opens.
3. Click References. The References tab opens.
4. To select a different segment, right-click in the Segment Collector and choose Remove from the shortcut menu.
5. To select more than one segment press and hold SHIFT and continue to select segments or click Details. The Segment Collection dialog box opens.
6. Select a Rule:
Single Segment—Selects a single segment.
Seed & Boundary—Selects all pipe segments from the start segment to all boundaries.
All Pipeline—Selects all segments from the start point to all free ends.
7. Specify the move distance using one of the following methods:
Type a value in the dashboard dimension box or in the Transformations tab.
 
* Move is the default transformation.
Drag the handle on the pipe segment.
Double-click the dimension in the graphics window and type a new value.
 
* You cannot move a segment in the direction of the segment ends to overlap another segment.
8. Choose the move direction:
Click .
Right-click in the graphics window and choose Next direction from the shortcut menu.
Select a different coordinate system axis in the graphics window.
The Direction reference box in the Transformations tab displays the axis selected. You can move the segment in the plus or minus directions of the X or Y axes.
9. To rotate a pipe segment follow one of the procedures below:
Click Transformations and select Rotate from the Settings list. Select an angle from the list or type a value for the angle of rotation in the box.
Right-click in the graphics window and select Rotate from the shortcut menu. Double-click the angle value, type a new value, and press ENTER.
10. Click New Move in the Transformation tab or right-click in the graphics window and choose New Move from the shortcut menu to move another pipeline segment.
11. Click .
 
* When you delete the moved segment in the Model Tree, the pipeline returns to its original state.
