Accessing Datum Points
Use a Datum Point Tool
• Click Model, click the arrow next to Point, and click Point to create a general point.
• Click Model, click the arrow next to Point, and click Offset Coordinate System to create a point offset from a coordinate system.
• Click Model, click the arrow next to Point, and click Field to create a field point.
Use Sketcher
You can create datum points using Sketcher. If you create a geometry point in a sketch feature, when you return to the modeling environment, that point is now a datum point.
• Click Model > Sketch, and click Sketch > Point in the Datum group.
