About the Intersect User Interface
The Intersect tab consists of commands, tabs, and shortcut menus. Select the first intersection reference, and then click Model > Intersect to open the Intersect tab.
Commands
Surfaces collector—Displays surfaces or datum planes to intersect.
Second sketch collector—Displays a sketch to intersect.

You must select Solid Geometry in the smart filter to intersect all solid geometry with a datum plane, quilt, or specific surfaces of a quilt.
Surfaces collector—Displays surfaces or datum planes to intersect. To produce a curve, the surfaces must come from two different quilts that are intersecting, a quilt and a solid, or a datum plane with surfaces from a quilt or solid.
First sketch collector and Second sketch collector—Displays a sketch to intersect.
Define—Opens Sketcher so you can create a sketch.
Edit—Opens Sketcher so you can edit a sketch.
Unlink—Breaks the association with the sketch and makes a copy as an internal sketch.
Properties
Name box—Sets a name for a feature.
—Displays detailed component information in a browser.
Shortcut Menus
Right-click the graphics window to access shortcut menu commands.
Select First Sketch—Activates the First sketch collector.
Select Second Sketch—Activates the Second sketch collector.
Define Internal Sketch—Opens Sketcher so you can create a sketch.
Clear—Clears the selected collector.
