To Set the Lattice Cells
This procedure applies to 3D and 2.5D lattice.
1. Click Engineering > Lattice. The Lattice tab opens.
2. Click Cell. The Cell tab opens.
3. To select the shape of the cell, in the Cell Shape list select one of the following:
Triangular
Square
Hexagonal
Octagonal
4. To set the dimensions of the cell, under Cell Size, type the values of the X, Y and Z of the cell, in the model units.
5. To set the slanting angle of the cell, type the value in the Skewing Angle box.
6. To round the edges of the cell, select Round Radius and type the value.
7. For 3D lattice:
a. To set which beams are a part of the cell, select them from the following:
Inner Horizontal Beams
Inner Vertical Beams
Outer Horizontal Beams
Outer Vertical Beams
Angular Beams
Outer Truss Beams
Inner Truss Beams
b. To remove beams that are not connected to a solid on both ends, select Remove Dangling Beams.
8. For 2.5D lattice:
a. To set the wall thickness of the cell, type the value in Wall Thickness.
b. To add holes, click Add Drain Holes and define the following options:
To define the width of the drain hole, type the value in Width.
To define the length of the drain hole, type the value in Length.
To define the spacing of the drain holes on Z axis, type the value in Spacing.
9. Click .
