To Redefine a Datum Reference Feature

Part Modeling > Datum Features > Datum References > To Redefine a Datum Reference Feature

You cannot switch the feature type when redefining datum reference features.

1. Select a datum reference feature in the Model Tree.

2. Right-click and choose

Edit Definition on the shortcut menu. The Datum Reference dialog box opens.

3. Select objects to redefine or add references. The reference collector shows the added reference type.

When redefining intent surfaces or intent chains, you can click Details next to the Reference collector. The Chain or Surface Sets dialog box opens displaying the edge chains or the surface sets. Add or remove references or redefine the properties of the selected edge chains or surface sets manipulating them in the graphics window.

4. Click OK.
