To Mirror Selected Features
1. Select one or more features to mirror.

 To mirror a pattern, select the pattern leader. |
2. Click
Model >
Mirror. The
Mirror tab opens.
3. Select a mirror plane. A preview of the Mirror feature is displayed.
If a feature is going to fail, it will be marked with a yellow dot in the Mirror items collector.
4. If needed, right-click the marked item and choose Fix to open the tool so you can fix the feature:
◦ Independent or partially dependent features—The tool that was used to create the marked feature opens.
◦ Fully dependent features—The Advanced Reference Configuration dialog box opens.
The application returns to the Mirror tool. The system could mark other features for failure. Fix each marked feature one at a time.
5. Click the Options tab and select a dependency option:
◦ To make the mirrored copy independent of the original features, clear the Dependent Copy check box.
◦ To make the mirrored copy dependent on the original features, select the Dependent Copy check box, and then select a dependency type option:
▪ To make the mirrored copy fully dependent on the original features, select the Fully dependent with options to vary option. All the elements of the copied features are fully dependent on the original features or geometry, but you can vary the dependency of dimensions, annotation element details, parameters, sketches, and references.
| If you set the default_dep_copy_option configuration option to full_dep, Fully dependent with options to vary is the default option of Dependent copy. |
▪ To make the mirrored copy partially dependent on the original features, select the Partially dependent - Dimensions and AE Details only option. Only the dimensions and annotation element details of the copied features are dependent on the original features.
| The number of members in a mirrored pattern is the same as in the original pattern feature. If you vary the number of members in the mirrored pattern that is created with Dependent Copy selected, the change is associatively propagated to the original pattern feature. The dependency is only on the dimensions. A mirrored pattern can have partial dependency, but not full dependency. |
