About Cooling Time Indicator

You can estimate the time required to cool the part to the ejection temperature at the end of filling. The Cooling Time Indicator dialog box displays the estimated cooling time. You can modify the analysis setup based on the estimated cooling time before running the analysis.

Select a material and click

Cooling Time Indicator on the Analysis Setup overflow menu. The Cooling Time Indicator dialog box appears and the estimated cooling time is indicated using a colored distribution.

• Use the slider to adjust the upper and lower limits of the color legend.

• Click

to view material information. The calculation of the estimated cooling time depends on the material information.

Generally, thicker region requires longer cooling time. You can modify the part thickness to reduce cooling time.
