To Modify a Model Note
1. Select Annotation from the filter list on the status bar and select the note in the graphics window, or select the note in the Model Tree. Click Format.
Alternatively, double-click a note. The Format tab opens.
2. Use the following options to modify your note:
Copy Text Style—Copies the text style from one note to another. Select the text to which you want to copy the style, click Copy Text Style, and select the text from which you want to copy the style.
Change the text height by typing a value in the box adjacent to the font.
Bold, Italic, and Underline—Applies the chosen format to the selected text or to the entire note.
 
* Bold is available only in the Drawing mode.
Superscript and Subscript—Applies the superscript and the subscript format to the selected text.
Left, Center, and Right—Aligns the note text to the left, center, and right.
Box—Applies a box outline to the selected text.
Color—Allows you to apply the selected color to the note text.
Text Style—Click . The Text Style dialog box opens that allows you to modify the following text styles:
Modify the height of the text character. The width factor and text thickness cannot be changed in the Part or Assembly mode.
Modify the slant angle of the selected text.
Underline the selected text by clicking the Underline check box.
Set horizontal and vertical alignment of the note text.
Change the angle of the note.
Adjust the line spacing.
Change a note to its mirror image by clicking the Mirror check box.
Click Reset to revert to the default settings, Apply to apply the changes to the current settings to the selected note, and OK to apply the changes and close the Text Style dialog box.
 
* All options except Switch Symbols in the Format tab become unavailable when the Text Style dialog box is open.
Hyperlink—Click Style > Hyperlink. The Edit Hyperlink dialog box opens. You can add or edit a hyperlink and a screen tip for the note, or remove an existing hyperlink.
Symbols palette—Allows to you insert a symbol in the note.
Insert Field—Allows you to add standard callouts to the note.
Note from File—Allows you to insert text from a text file or from a saved note.
Save to File—Click Text > Save to File to save the text with the parametric information as numerical values. The information in the text file saved using this option contains only the note text. If you include a dimension in the note text, saving the note text using this option saves only the current value of the dimension.
Save Symbolic Note to File—Click Text > Save Symbolic Note to File to save the text with the parametric information as symbols. The information saved to a text file consists of the notes and details to parametrically control the text. If you include a dimension in the notes, saving the notes with this option also includes information to find the dimension in the model and generate its value in the notes.
Text Editor—Click Text > Text Editor to edit the note in Notepad.
Wrap Text—Wraps multiple lines of text using the longest line as reference.
Toggle Leader Type—Click Format > Toggle Leader Type to toggle the note leader between centered about elbow and above extended elbow.
Security Marking—Allows you to designate an unattached flat to screen note as a security marking.
3. Double-click outside the note text box to deselect the note.
