To Insert an Assembly Step
An Assembly step lets you assemble and disassemble reference parts during a manufacturing process, and have complete documentation of the Assembly step in the process, including comments and setup times. To insert an Assembly step in a Process Table, you have to be in a Process view. You also have to have at least one operation defined in the process.
1. Click . The system inserts a new Assembly step line below the selected line in the Process Table. The new Assembly step has a default system-generated name, such as RMSETP001. It does not have any components.
2. To change the Assembly step name, type the new name in the Name column of the Process Table.
3. Click Features > Create Mfg Features for All Steps to create manufacturing features including setup features.
4. To change other Assembly step properties, select the fixture setup by clicking on its icon. The whole line in the table highlights.
5. Click on the toolbar below the Process Table. The Model Setup tab opens.
Add, remove, and manipulate reference model components.

The user interface is the same as that for manipulating fixture components except that you cannot copy a previously defined setup. See the topic The Fixture Setup Tab for details.
6. Click . The Assembly step line in the table is updated.
