To Define Manufacturing Geometry
From within the Process Manager, you can create and modify the following types of manufacturing geometry: Mill Volume, Mill Surface, Mill Window, Drill Group. You can use these features when selecting references for a Milling or Holemaking step.
To create a new feature:
1. On the top menu bar of the Manufacturing Process Table dialog box, click Insert > Geometry Reference.
2. Select the geometry type option (for example, Mill Volume).
3. Select Create.
4. At the prompt, type the name for the new feature.
5. The system starts the user interface for defining the appropriate type of manufacturing geometry.
6. When you are done creating the new feature, the system adds it to the manufacturing model and returns you to the Manufacturing Process Table dialog box.
To modify an existing feature:
1. On the top menu bar of the Manufacturing Process Table dialog box, click Insert > Geometry Reference.
2. Select the geometry type option (for example, Mill Volume).
3. Select Modify.
4. Select the name of the existing feature of the appropriate type to modify.
5. The system starts the user interface for modifying the appropriate type of manufacturing geometry.
6. When you are done modifying the feature, the system returns you to the Manufacturing Process Table dialog box.
