To Assemble a Reference Model with Merged Features
1. Click
Manufacturing >
Reference Model >
Merge Reference Model .
In the Open dialog box, select the model whose features must be merged with the reference model.
2. Constrain and place the model using the Component Placement tab.
3. Click

Create Reference Model dialog box opens.
|  The Create Reference Model dialog box is not available if you select an assembly for the reference model. |
4. Under Reference Model Type, click Merge by Reference to create a reference model with geometry merged from the selected model.
| The options for Reference Model Type are available only if you use Insert > Reference Model > Assemble to create the reference model. |
5. Under Reference Model, modify the default name and add the common name of the reference model. This step is optional.
6. Click OK.
