Machine Tool Overtravel Notification
You can specify the travel limits and the strokes of a machine tool while defining a machine tool. You can do this in Creo NC in the Work Center dialog box or the Edit Parameters dialog box.
If you want to be notified about the overtravel of a machine tool, add the Over Travel Status,X Minimum, X Maximum, Y Minimum, Y Maximum, Z Minimum, and Z Maximum columns to the Process Table using the Process View Builder. These parameters are part of the Mfg Info Parameters group.
Whenever a machine tool used in a step or an operation travels over the specified limits, the Over Travel Status column in the Process Table is updated with either of the two values, Over Travel or Adjust Oper CSYS. Additionally, the background color of one or more cells in the X Minimum, X Maximum, Y Minimum, Y Maximum, Z Minimum, and Z Maximum columns changes to yellow indicating overtravel.
A status value of Adjust Oper CSYS implies that you can eliminate the overtravel by adjusting the operation coordinate system. However, these status values are for information purposes only and have no implications on the machining or tool path generation.
