About Axis-based Patterning
With axis-based patterning you can create a pattern by revolving a feature around a selected axis. You can place pattern members in two directions, that is, the angular and radial direction. In the angular direction, pattern members are revolved around an axis and are placed in the counterclockwise direction. In axis-based patterns, a single datum axis is used as reference for rotation or translation or both. When you use a coordinate system as a reference, you can select coordinate system axes and datum axes in the graphics window. You can also select datum axes on the Model Tree.
