To Import Cross Sections from Creo Parametric Parts and Assemblies
1. Click
Design >
Import. The
Open dialog box opens.
2. Browse to a part or to an assembly that contains the required cross section.
◦ For a part, perform these operations:
1. Click Open. The Import Part Cross Section dialog box opens.
2. From the Cross section list, select one to import.
3. Define the import settings for the cross section:
▪ Under Color, select an option to define the color of the component geometry on import.
▪ Under Hatching, select an option to define whether hatching is imported together with the component.
◦ For an assembly, perform these operations:
1. Click Open. The Import Assembly Cross Section dialog box opens.
2. From the Cross section list, select one to import.
3. Define the import settings for the cross section:
▪ Under Nodes, select an option to define whether the assembly component names are imported as node names in the layout.
▪ Under Color, select an option to define the color of the component geometry on import.
▪ Under Hatching, select an option to define whether hatching is imported together with the component.
3. Click OK. The cross section is imported into the layout.
