Creating a New ECAD Design in Windchill 10.0 Workgroup Manager for ECAD
1. Make sure you are in a common space in Windchill Workgroup Manager for ECAD.
2. Under Folder Contents, click Actions > New > New ECAD Design. The New ECAD Design dialog box opens.
3. Select ECAD Schematic from the Type list.
4. Click Next. The Define Schematic tab opens.
5. Select an application from the Authoring Application list.
6. To change the automatically generated number, type a new one.
7. Type a Name.
8. Type a Description (optional).
9. To manage derived objects, click the Create Derived Objects check box.
10. Click Next. The Define Schematic Derived Objects tab opens.
11. Click Actions > Add Row. A new row is added to the table.
12. Type a name for the derived object.
13. Select an option from the Derived Object Type list.

14. Type a Description.
15. Click Finish. A new ECAD design object is added to the table.
