About the ECAD-MCAD Collaboration User Interface
The ECAD - MCAD Collaboration tab consists of four groups of commands and shortcut menus. To open the ECAD - MCAD Collaboration tab:
From a design assembly modeling ECAD designs, click Applications > ECAD Collaboration.
From an ECAD assembly, click ECAD Collaboration.
Tools Commands
Compare—Opens the Select Assembly to compare against dialog box.
Launch Validate—Opens Creo View ECAD Validate.
Collaboration Control Commands
Find—Opens the Search Tool dialog box.
Click Cross Select to use one of the following commands:
Cross Select—Highlights the selected object in the other tool.
Cross Select on any selection—Highlights objects as you select them in the other tool.
Click Cross Preview to use one of the following commands:
Cross Preview—Overlays an image of the selected object’s location in the other tool.
Cross Preview On Select—Overlays an image of object’s location as you select them in the other tool.
Include Zoom To—Zooms into the selected object in the other tool.
Reset—Removes highlighting and resets the preview.
Collaboration Control—Displays the following commands:
Input From File—Opens the Open dialog box. Select an IDX file to load incremental events from a file.
Options—Opens the Collaboration Options dialog box.
Propose—Opens the Save a Copy dialog box. Leave the default name or type a new name and click OK to save the IDX file of proposed changes.
Model Display Commands
Flat State—Shows the assembly in a flat state.
Model Display—Displays model display commands. The following commands are available in Creo ECAD-MCAD Collaboration:
Temporary Shade
Appearance Gallery
Display Style

Shortcut Menus
Right-click in the graphics window to access shortcut menu commands.
When no item is selected, the following commands are available:
Compare—Opens the Select Assembly to compare against dialog box.
Launch Validate—Opens Creo View ECAD Validate.
Find—Opens the Search Tool dialog box.
