About Importing the General Views of the Associative Drawings
When you import Creo Elements/Direct*.mi, *.bi, and *.bdl associative drawings, you must select the Drawing Associative with 3D Model option on the Import MI dialog box to transfer the general views of the associative drawings to Creo Parametric.
The following Creo Elements/Direct basic drawing properties are retained when the *.mi, *.bi, and *.bdl associative drawings are transferred to Creo Parametric:
View name
View scale
View orientation
Calc Mode and the visibility of hidden lines
The Calculation Mode in Creo Elements/Direct defines how 2D geometry is calculated and what type of 3D objects are part of the view. The Calc Mode properties create the following types of Creo Elements/Direct views:
Classic—A 2D detailed geometry view with no shading.
Classis + Shaded—A shaded view that you can dimension.
Graphics—A 2D geometry view with no shading. This property calculates the geometry view relatively fast and supports graphics 3D models. Not all details are calculated. Suits large models.
Graphics + Shaded—A shaded 2D geometry view that you can dimension. Suits large models.
Shaded—A shaded view that you cannot dimension.
The Calc Mode and the hidden line visibility properties map to the Display Style property in Creo Parametric as follows:
