To Import a VDA File as a New Feature into an Existing Part
1. Create or open a part.
2. Click
Model >
Get Data >
Import. The
Open dialog box opens.
3. Select VDA (*.vda) in the Type box.
4. Select the VDA file you want to import from the list of available files or browse to find the VDA file.
5. Click Import. The File dialog box and the Import tab open.
|  You must first select options in the File dialog box before you proceed to use options on the Import tab. |
6. Retain the import profile in use or select a saved import profile from the Profile list. Click Details to modify the current import profile settings.
| Click the Import point set as spline option on the Misc tab page of the import profile to control the import of the data point sets. |
7. Select other options in the File dialog box and click OK.
8. Select a coordinate system to locate the VDA data on the Import tab.
9. Click
on the
Import tab. The import log file is automatically generated in the working directory.
