To Append a Solid Edge Part to a Creo Part
1. Open a part and click
Model >
Get Data >
Import. The
Open dialog box opens.
2. Select Solid Edge Part (*.par) in the Type box.
3. Select a part file from the list of files displayed.
4. Click Import. The File dialog box and the Import tab open.
|  You must first click options in the File dialog box before you proceed with options on the Import tab. |
5. Click options to change the import profile or the import type in the File dialog box and click OK.
6. Select a coordinate system to locate the geometry of the import feature or accept the default location on the Import tab.
7. Insert the imported feature as a solid protrusion or surface in the existing model. You can, alternatively, remove geometry from the existing model or edit the import feature using Import DataDoctor.
8. Click
on the
Import tab. The Solid Edge part is imported and appended to the native part model. The import log file is automatically generated in the working directory.
