Importing and Exporting Facet and Exact Geometry
You can import and export facet and exact geometry from and to Creo View. Export to Creo View includes exact and facet geometry. You can import the following data from Creo View:
Facet geometry (surfaces and solids)
Exact B-spline geometry (surfaces and solids)
Datum geometry (curves, datum planes, datum points, and so on)
Colors
Facet geometry is imported by default. However, you can use the Import type profile option to import facet or exact geometry. Exact geometry in the file is imported when you do not set the Import type profile option to Facet. If no exact geometry exists, the available facet geometry is imported and the Creo application writes to the log that exact geometry is not found for import. You can export facet and exact geometry to the Creo View formats.
The quality of tessellation and triangulation of models exported to Creo View are determined by edge and shade quality. You can set Edge display quality and Shade display quality in the Creo View Export Profile Settings export profile to values that improve the quality of tessellation instead of changing the display settings of the Creo session to control the export quality.
